Sundays in the Family Life Center 9:30-10:30 a.m. We offer a variety of adult educational opportunities each Sunday morning. While classes may differ in their make-up and style, all are designed to enrich the lives of their participants by providing an inviting environment in to learn and grow in your walk with Christ. Agape:  Taught by outstanding teachers with lessons that are in-depth and Biblical.  Members of this class are asked to share and are challenged to walk daily with Christ. Anne Porter, 651-5806, jport33@aol.com,Rm 214. 

 
Builders:  In-depth study of Scripture, from both a theological and historical perspective, is the hallmark of this class.  Dynamic lay persons facilitate this class each week.  Teaching style is primarily lectionary but interaction is encouraged.  Mack Gay, 863-2878, sockeye1@cox.net and meets in Rm 212.
 
Crandall Class: This is an interactive and supportive group, with the goal of providing spiritual and personal growth through fellowship, outreach, and study. Members of this class are from the "Greatest Generation" but welcome all ages. Mary Morgan, 862-4881, meets in the Chapel.
 
Searchers:  This is a warm and inviting group consisting of people from 20’s-80’s. Actively seeking, this group focuses on Bible study and prayer. The class also enjoys occasional social  activities and spiritual retreats. Sara Michaelson, 863-9722, michaelsonmike@cox.net, meets in Rm 106.
 
Christian Women: Around a table, class members share their lives, learn from each other and grow in Christ.  The class encourages and supports the relationships between women of all ages.  The class is open to all women seeking the grow closer to God.  Jeanne Rief, 314-7374, jrief2@cox.net meets in Rm 209.
 
Christian Friends:  A bold fresh look at Scripture and Christian Studies is what you will find!  The class is lead by dynamic lay people who have a heart for Christ.  Class encourages warm and supportive fellowship and social activities.  Jim Getting, 651-5520, Rm 207.
 
The Upper Room:  This is a tightly knit group of believers who seek a better knowledge and understanding of the Bible. The class is engaged in an in-depth study beginning with Genesis and ending with Revelation. All seeking a better understanding of scripture are invited and welcomed.  Mary Jane Robertson, 651-2763, cqmj@aol.com, and meets in Rm 210.
 
Informal Discussion:  This class is an exciting fresh look at scripture and current events. This fall the class will be looking at biblical perspectives of the tough public controversies Christians face.  We start with the Separation of Church and state.  This class encourages participants of all ages.  Lee Jackson, 651-4502, lees1steam@cox.net, Rm 211.
 
 Ben Gordon Class:  This class is comprised of spiritually mature men and women actively seeking growth through study and fellowship. This lectionary style class is lead on a rotating basis by vibrant lay servants. The class is open to people of all ages.  Meets in Rm 213 with Carole Gordon leading.
 
Freedom In Christ:  This new adult group is studying the “Renovation of the Heart” video series with discussion.  They meet in the gym and encourage participants of all ages.  Contact Sandra Peters for more information. 
 
Out of the Box: A group of all ages, married and singles, men and women with beginning to intermediate Bible knowledge.  An interactive learning environment that will challenge you to look at God and the Word of God “Out of the Box.”  Each week our goal is for you to leave our group more refreshed than when you arrived, and to know God better.  Meets in Rm 215, Renee Crosby, 368-5107, renee777@cox.net
 
Young Adult Class:  Please join this group of folks 18-30ish for a Life Applications Bible Study.  They meet in the Computer Lab off the court yard and teachers rotate monthly.  For more information contact youngadult@shalimar-umc.org.
