Shalimar UMC is located on a busy corner of Eglin Parkway in the heart of the Fort Walton Beach, Shalimar and Eglin Air Force Base communities. We are still a rather young church founded in 1950. Since that time, the church has grown and matured to over 2000 members. Through the years we have added worship, education and fellowship space to meet the demands of our growing congregation. In 1997 a Family Life Center was built to provide modern nursery facilities, additional classrooms and a combination fellowship hall, worship center, and gymnasium.
