Tuesday May 29
This morning we woke up from our stay at the luxurious Hilton Hotel located in Dedham, MA, and rode 20 miles back to Boston for another morning of site seeing and shopping. First we had breakfast at a Burger King that was not quite ready for our large group, as they ran out of biscuits before everyone was through ordering. However, they were very friendly and did whatever they could to try and accommodate us. We then went to the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum for a tour. Today would have been JFK’s 90th birthday, so the museum celebrated with birthday cake and by selling a hard back cover biography about JFK for only 90 cents. After we completed the tour, the bus dropped one group off at the Fenial Square area for additional shopping and site seeing. The bus took another group to Fenway Park for a tour. A few of the boys and girls got tattoos, and some spent lots of mom and dads money shopping. We will let the mom and dads worry about which their children did! Some also went to the aquarium and then rode an “octopus” bicycle around the streets of Boston. We met at a designated location, loaded the bus, and headed to Huntington United Methodist Church in Shelton, CT, for our evening concert. The members there were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy the concert. We ate sandwiches, salads, and desserts after the concert and spent time talking with some of their members. We then loaded the bus again and made our way to Secaucus, NJ where we are staying the night at the Crown Plaza Hotel.
