Saturday May 26

We stayed at the colonial Williamsburg Hotel, got up, loaded our bus, had a short devotion by Jeff, and set off on our adventure. While on our way to Washington DC, some people decided to catch a few winks of sleep. After arriving in DC we decided to do a little sight seeing, including the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Capital Building, Lincoln Memorial, and Vietnam Memorial. We found out that on Memorial Day, DC has an event called rolling thunder, involving many motorcycles from around the US. After some sight seeing, we stopped at Union station for a bite to eat and a little bit of shopping. A few of us ate at Johnny Rockets while others ate at Sbarro. From there, we traveled to our next performance at the United Methodist Home of DC. The AC was out where we were supposed to sing, so we had to clear tables and set up in their dining room. From here we had a long tip to NY and due to traffic issues and a few wrong turns, we arrived an hour late for dinner. Sorry, but no pictures from dinner at Mamanoreck, cause batteries died on the camera.
